Dedicated to the care of young adults with acquired brain injuries or complex disabilities, the site based on London Road is currently undergoing extensive renovations to create a luxury home offering residential and respite services for clients with specialist needs.

Run by award-winning established care specialists Progress Care Solutions, the £1.5m development is the group’s seventh facility in the Midlands, and it is looking to recruit its team of staff for Nightingale Home by early next year.

Director at Progress Care Solutions, Claire Haynes, said: “We are creating at least 25 jobs at Nightingale Home for skilled personnel of all levels and we will hopefully have all positions filled by the turn of the year.

“Although we are investing heavily into providing an excellent facility for clients, our most important investment will be on the quality of care we provide, which is all down to the people we employ.

“Our ethos has always been around the belief that it’s the staff who makes the care facilities successful, so we are hand-picking a team of experienced people, who we will support and encourage with continuous training.”

Rated as one of the UK’s top 100 best companies to work for in 2012, Progress Care Solutions invests heavily in training for staff and has recently been awarded Gold for its Investors in People.

Claire continued: “As a group, we are not only passionate about providing the very best in care and residential facilities, but also in providing our staff at each level with the training they need to enable them to do their job to the best of their abilities and be the best that they can be”.

“By providing them with knowledge and opportunities, our people are more confident, content and love what they do, which reflects in the homes and how much the clients respond to them.”

“Aside from care and support staff, we are also looking for a host of positions from gardeners, cooks and cleaners to management. By employing local people it also helps to make Nightingale Home even more a part of the community, which is important to us, our clients and their families.”
