Cook: Young Adult’s Residential

Salary: £17,270 – £17,690

Location: Wednesbury

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Wellcroft House Adult’s residential service as a Cook.

The Role

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Progress core values and brings this to life in daily practice.
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of food hygiene principles and hold a qualification at Level 2 or be working towards this.
  • Ability to plan menus that offer variety whilst demonstrating an understanding of allergies, intolerances, cultural requirements etc.
  • Able to demonstrate effective budget management whilst offering value for money.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of Health and Safety and Fire Safety principles.
  • Able to demonstrate effective stock control measures and management.
  • Completed the mandatory training modules (e.g. Food Hygiene, level 2, First Aid, Health and Safety etc.)
  • Qualified in Food Hygiene HACCP or be working towards this.
  • Ability to demonstrate full nutritional considerations for individuals being mindful of medication, weight control etc.
