An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our forward thinking team as a Night Support Worker in one of our residential services for young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities, Autism, ADHD and associated behavioural challenges. Adults accommodated at the home may also present with Mental Health, Self Harming and sexualised behaviours, who are socially and emotionally delayed through neglect and harm. The home is part of a growing range of flexible services provided by Progress Care Solutions aimed at Adults and young people with a varying degree of disability.
To be considered for this post you will be expected to support the management team to maintain a safe and enabling environment that provides positive experiences to the adults who are accessing the service. Your role will be to encourage them to develop new skills and to be the best that they can be, whilst also providing the highest quality of care and support to our young people. You will be expected to support service users during night-time. Carrying out cleaning duties and completing relevant records. You will be caring, compassionate, have a fantastic work ethic and be able to work on your own initiative, whilst following the support and care plans provided for the people we support.
You must be able to demonstrate that you have a QCF level 2 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent along with, at least, two years’ experience in a residential setting; holding a full clean driving licence would be a distinct advantage.
This role will require the post holder to work unsociable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rolling rota basis.
