Night Support Worker Children’s (HH008)

Salary £17,270 – £18,613 (pro rata)

Location – Coventry

With high success rates and a proven track record in placement stability, increasing resilience and reducing dependency, we can blend a range of services together to provide seamless transitions through residential, foster care, semi-independent and independent living.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our forward thinking team as a Night Support Worker in one of our residential services for children and young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities, Autism, ADHD and associated behavioural challenges. Children accommodated at the home may also present with Mental Health, Self Harming and sexualised behaviours, who are socially and emotionally delayed through neglect and harm. The home is part of a growing range of flexible services provided by Progress Care Solutions aimed at Children and young people with a varying degree of disability.

To be considered for this post you will be expected to support the management team to maintain a safe and enabling environment that provides positive experiences to the children who are accessing the service. Your role will be to encourage them to develop new skills and to be the best that they can be, whilst also providing the highest quality of care and support to our children and young people. You will be expected to support service users during night-time. Carrying out cleaning duties and completing relevant records. You will be caring, compassionate, have a fantastic work ethic and be able to work on your own initiative, whilst following the support and care plans provided for the people we support.

You must be able to demonstrate that you have a QCF level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent along with, at least, two years’ experience in a residential setting; holding a full clean driving licence would be a distinct advantage.

This role will require the post holder to work unsociable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rolling rota basis.
