Position:

Support Worker Young Adult’s (NH24)

Salary: £17,270 – £18,317

Location: Derby

The Role

As a Support Worker at our Nightingale House residential service, you will be caring for young adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, Autism, ADHD and associated behavioural challenges. 

Young adults accommodated at Nightingale House may also be experiencing mental health, self-harming and sexualised behaviours and are socially and emotionally delayed, through neglect and harm. 

A support worker will also assist the management team in maintaining a safe and enabling environment that provides positive experiences to young adults.

Your role is also vital to the progression of young adults. A support worker encourages them to develop new skills and to be the best that they can be. You must be sensitive to the needs of those in your care. 

The roles will require you to work unsociable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rolling rota basis.

You must be able to demonstrate that you have a QCF level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent along with, at least and at least two years’ experience in a residential setting.

A full clean driving license would be a distinct advantage.
