This can be shorter if all the necessary checks and training are completed quickly, or longer if additional information or support is needed. At Progress, we guide you through every step, including home visits, background checks, interviews, and mandatory training such as the Skills to Foster course, so you feel fully prepared and confident before welcoming a child into your home. While our process may sometimes be completed in less than the eight months suggested by the regulator, we are no less rigorous in carrying out checks or assessments and always ensure the highest standards of safety and support for children.
