Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

Current valid driving license and have access to own vehicle
First Aid at Work
PAT Testing
IOSH Managing safely or equivalent H&S qualification

Experience

Experience Required:

At least 2 years practical experience within a similar maintenance-based role and experience with budget management
Experience of working reactively with the ability to respond as necessary to meet strict timescales
A min of 2 years experience of General maintenance and performing "handy-person" duties
At least 2 years experience of Painting, decorating and plumbing
Ideally you will have experience of working within a care environments; residential homes or schools.

Skills/Abilities

Knowledge/Skills:

Good English written and verbal communication skills
The ability to complete maintenance documentation and records accurately and reliably (paper based and electronic when required)
A sound understanding of the requirements of Health & Safety and Fire Safety as apply to a Residential Care setting; awareness and understanding of Fire Risk Assessments & Water Hygiene Service Risk Assessments
IT Proficiency including basic excel/word/Teams and Outlook
Good skills in a range of trade areas
