Are you ready for a new challenge in children’s residential services? Looking for growth and development personally and professionally?

Have you thought about working for a successful provider known for the quality of care – people first ethos!

This is registered as a 6 bedded Children’s Home and is in the heart of a residential community. The home is an established service and is tailored to a high standard, to provide support for children and young people between the ages of 8-19. As the Registered manager you will play a vital role in advocating and supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, Autism, ADHD, sensory impairment, and associated behavioural challenges and/or complex care needs. They may also have trauma and attachment difficulties, as well as being socially and emotionally delayed through neglect and harm.

The home is part of transitional pathway planning, and our aim is to support children into foster care, additional residential if required or into adult services when appropriate. The aim is to work with children and young people to support them in all aspects of their care, working towards agreed outcomes which are set to focus the personal development of children in areas which present barriers to enabling successful transitions into future placements or adult life.

“It’s about ensuring each child is placed where they can thrive—with intention, care, and purpose.”

As a leader, it is paramount to upskill staff supporting in the ability to maintain the safety of the home, help young people develop life skills, build positive relationships, promote independence, liaise with professionals and families and ensure the young people are well cared for and thriving to be the best version of themselves!

A lot of emphasis is put on the children having fun and enjoying life to the maximum, with activities planned around their individual needs. We pride ourselves in maintaining relationships and working closely with new foster carers/parents, and welcome ideas and involvement from all key professionals.

What do our Registered Managers think:

“I like working for progress because it’s an organisation that truly puts people at the heart of everything it does. I’m passionate about creating a safe, nurturing environment where both residents and staff feel valued and supported. I take pride in leading by example, building strong relationships, and driving positive outcomes through teamwork and compassion. Being a manager here gives me the platform to lead a dedicated team, inspire positive change and see the direct impact of our work on individual lives. At Progress, every day brings a chance to make a real difference and I’m proud of the work we do”.

“From the very beginning, Progress has placed its trust in me—equipping me with the tools, confidence, and freedom to grow from a volunteer to a Registered Manager. Every step of the journey has been met with unwavering support and a genuine ‘you can do it’ attitude. Thanks to Progress’s belief in me, I’ve developed into a leader capable of driving meaningful and lasting change for our children and our home. I love being a part of the Progress family”.

“Progress doesn’t just make you feel part of a journey—it draws you in and inspires you to truly live it. There’s a powerful drive across the organisation to do right by everyone—children and staff alike—and that shared commitment is what makes Progress feel less like a workplace and more like a family. The children are at the heart of everything we do and everything we strive to achieve. For me, they’re not just part of the purpose—they are the purpose”.
