Deputy Manager – Childrens Complex Care Residential
Qualifications (If Required)
- Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification)

You must be able to demonstrate that you have:
• NVQ 3 Diploma or QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or in Residential Care or equivalent, and also be willing to work towards Leadership and Management and QCF level 5 Care or equivalent (Social work qualifications or nursing qualifications would also be accepted)
Experience
Experience Required:
• At least 2 years’ experience as a team leader /Deputy Manager within a residential setting
• Previous experience and a strong understanding of Ofsted regulations is essential
• Experience of Complex care would be a distinct advantage.
Skills/Abilities
Skills and attributes:
• Strong Leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to communicate at all levels
• Working knowledge of, following, and working to Care Plans
• Experience of Conflict Management and dealing with difficult situations
• The ability to work effectively during high pressured situations
• You will be a supportive Manager and team player
• You will also have competent IT skills and a strong desire to progress your career in care.
